If you're not a car enthusiast, you may have not heard about the new Spyker luxury SUV that is almost on the market. The Dutch company, Spyker, has been quickly making a name for itself in the luxury & exotic market, and I'd like to show you what we're in for!

The small, but well known, Dutch company, which started up in 1999, first introduced itself into the luxury market with it's very impressive Spyker C8 sports car featuring Audi's 4100cc V8 engine which delivers 450HP and an amazing top speed of just over 300 km/h! The Spyker D12 first was introduced at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show and was one of the hottest debuts of the year. The Spyker wasn't to be made for almost 2 years but still attracted over 100 pre-orders for this luxury SUV.

The Spyker D12 saves weight by being crafted out of an all aluminium body which lets this thing keep up with most sports cars. Driving this Spyker will ensure that your kids are never late for school or a soccer game again! It is powered by the 6.0 litre, 12 cylinder, 500 bhp W12 engine from Volkswagen AG and accelerates from 0-100 km (0-60 MPH) in 5.0 seconds.

The engine specs alone, it is enough to make any car guy drop his jaw and drool frantically. The interior of the SUV has been crafted with a unique design that allows the luxury SUV to easily seperates itself from any other vehicle in its class. The 6-speed automatic transmission features a multifunctional steering wheel with F1 style shift paddles, a triple dashboard designed in the style of an airplane cockpit, and a sumptuous interior. The vehicle has an all aluminium body fitted to an aluminium space frame and sits on 24 inch Aeroblade wheels.

If you're interested in buying one of these, the waiting list is long, and there has been no announcement as to when this will ship to us in North America. If you would like to keep up-to-date, then be sure to check out the Spyker website which has a mailing list for interested buyers.
