More Trendy TrainersAugust 4th, 2007
Here are a few tips to please that sneaker monkey on your back.
There are so many different styles and kinds of trendy trainers. Let's open the discussion with the few of the many options. Trendy trainers come down to two basic styles: The simple ones such as Puma and Adidas, and the funkier ones that we will discuss now.The first brand of sneaker we will discuss is Nike. When you think Nike, you may be thinking this is a running shoe and not a stylish one. You are correct. This is a running shoe, but they also have many different styles that are fashionable and funky. The two funky styles I would focus on specifically are the "Dunk Lo" and the "Court Force". Both of these shoes tend to be more colorful. The "Dunk Lo" shoe looks great on the chill guy who may just like to surf or skate. The "Court Force" is great all-around shoe; it is more for the guy who doesn't want to make too much of a statement, but still has a great fashion sense. Brown is very much in style, and these shoes will go with many of the new tees that we've talked about in the previous articles. This shoe even has a slight patterned detail on the back that can be matched to one of your new button-up shirts. Converse is the next shoe for us to explore. It has been around for years, and the best thing about Converse is they go with everything! Another great thing is that Converse comes in such a wide range of colors that they work for almost everyone, and for all situations. These shoes are funky but in a different way. For example, some of the new Converse designs are now out in the "sun faded" more worn down "look". They are now popular because they go well with the vintage style tee shirts that are the new look in the stores. This specific style is called the "Sun Faded Ox". Another cool style is camouflage, but this just isn't the normal camouflage pattern that we are used to seeing around. This particular pattern is the Chuck Taylor symbol meshed into the camouflage design. Both of these styles are cool and collective. If you want to go even funkier, you can go with the "Fingerprint" shoe. It's very funky and out of the ordinary but like anything else, if it's worn right, you can look like a rock star! The last brand is Asics. Again, this brand is very well known for its running shoes, but does have some good unique styles that are very cool. Asics "Gel-Lyte III" is one style that I would suggest. This shoe has grey, black, yellow, red and white in it so it is very easy to match up with some diesel jeans and a "lets hug it out" tee shirt by Local Celebrity. Another great style by Asics is the "Split Second". This shoe is very funky as it is a pure green high top shoe. You can do the same thing with this shoe as with the others by throwing on that new Star Wars tee.All of these shoes are just a brief beginning for the fashionable trendy trainer world. There are so many styles out in stores to be seen. They are a sure bet for all great year round look. Make sure you match up shorts only with your simple and sleek trendy trainers. All the rest of the styles should be worn with pants, cargos, or jeans. Lets just say a high top Nike and a pair of cargo shorts just don't go, so please don't do it. All these shoes are out there to be worn. Just wear them right with the right bottoms and you'll look great! Once you get into trendy trainers you will be in heaven as they have comfort as well as style!
