The Zune seems to be the only good thing Microsoft has got going on at the moment. Some people thought that Microsoft was crazy for wanting to take a bite out of the MP3 market, mostly because Apple casts such a big shadow. I won't be the first to say that I think the iPods days in the spotlight are numbered. We all know by now that the iPod isn't even all that good of a product.

So why do I think so highly of the Zune? Well, for starters the screen is 20% larger, you can transfer files wirelessly and there will also be a online music download service. All that and a 30GB harddrive for only $250USD ! So when can we get our hands on one of these? The release date has been scheduled for November 14 2006.

Another reason why the Zune project is so hot is because James Allard, the man who oversaw the creation of the Xbox 360, has also overseen the creation of the Zune. So that means for all us Xbox owners, that we will be able to connect right up to the 360! This will allow you to stream music, videos and pictures via USB. There have been rumors floating around that the possibility of it connecting Wirelessly, so lets all cross our fingers and hope for the best. I saved the coolest feature for last. Microsoft is building in Podcast capabilities and may be enabled within the Zune via the WiFi connection.
