We all dream of a World of free motion. Where you can move leaps and bounds across land, sea and air. Well, we managed to cover land and sea. While James Bond may have been "pimping" these gadgets for decades, they've only recently entered the consumer market at a modest price.

The $155,000 custom car is powered by a Corvette motor and can function as well in the water as on land. With its snazzy snout, convertible top, Corvette V-8 engine and jet "impeller" -- the stainless-steel cone protruding from the rear that propels it through water -- the Hydra Spyder is poised to become the first, mass-produced amphibious automobile in America.

The Spyder can seat four, pull a water skier, and takes six months to build. Imagine cruising down to the dock then into the water for a relaxing day of fishing.

Needless to say this car is no push over. The Corvette LS2 6.0-liter V8 engine that delivers a 400 ft. lbs of torque and has five speed manual high performance close ratio transmission. The upper body of the car and has a 5052 alloy aluminum plate lower hull construction. Finally an amphibious car that doesn't lag on the water.

Now that we've got this beast, the next trick is to avoid the gators.
