Title: The Spring Necessities

Description: Get ready to gear up for spring with the latest fashions from Diesel, John Varvatos, and others!

There are three necessities that every man should have in his closet for the spring of 2008. These items can not only be mixed together to create one amazing outfit, but will individually make perfect additions to your wardrobe as well. These key items are a white blazer, a white v-neck t-shirt, and a great pair of jeans.

Let’s begin with the white blazer. Blazers have been very popular overall for the past few years, but the new color for this spring is white. White has become the new black! A white blazer not only freshens your look, but will keep your or that special someone warm on those brisk spring evenings. Diesel makes a great white blazer called the “Jultras”. This blazer is a three-button blazer that has a fitted look. The addition of one pocket on the left side in the proper spot and one pocket on the right side only at chest pocket level – with an additional slit pocket above it – adds to the overall unique and funky style of this jacket. This jacket is primarily cotton, which gives it an all-around soft feel, but it also has a bit of elastic to make sure it fits like a glove!

The next key item is the white v-neck. Yes, this simple item is one of the sexiest things that a man can wear. The important thing to remember is that this isn’t your Hanes v-neck t-shirt that you sleep in every night. You have to understand style and fit when picking out the perfect tee. If the fit is off, the look is ruined! There are a few things to remember when buying a v-neck: don’t have the v so low-cut that it shows the cleavage between your muscles, don’t have the v too high up (making you look choked by it), and always make sure it’s just long enough to hit the top of your jeans. One good brand for a basic white v-neck is 2-Xist. These tee shirts are very form fitting, so they’re best suited to all you muscle men out there. Another very good designer is John Varvatos. His white v-neck, called “star USA short sleeve,” comes in the color salt. This, unlike the 2-Xist tee shirt, is not stretch cotton but slub cotton. This gives the fabric a bit of texture and a whole new look! The last basic v-neck brand I will suggest is Hugo. They make the “dredo” v-neck style tee shirt in the color white and it’s a great basic shirt made out of cotton. It can be your throw-it-on tee for every day. These brands can be found online or at any major department store.

Last is Jeans. We will first discuss good old-fashioned Diesel jeans, because they are generally amazing fitting jeans and yes, they are a must. A previous popular style of theirs is the “paddom,” which is now called the “paddom special”. There are new washes out there with the same great fit. These jeans have details like 4 pockets on the back and four pockets on the front, including a little zipper pocket. It is an eight-pocket jean that looks like a five-pocket classic jean and can be worn during the day or night. It is a definite jean to have in your closet! You can only find this jean at the Diesel Store. The other brand of jeans that is trendy for this spring is Seven For all Mankind. The two styles I like by them are a darker boot cut jean called the “rigid,” and the classic boot cut jean which has no name. The classic cut comes in only one color, the Seville, which is a light color. This is a great alternative jean for a change from the other dark jeans you have been wearing all winter long. The fit is great and the color is new and exciting! The other style, the “rigid”, is darker and fits great. Seven For all Mankind can be found at any major department store or online.

Put these three musts together for spring and you will have yourself a great outfit on its own. You can throw it on with a great pair of black or brown leather shoes and you will look great. If you want to add a bit more for a night time look, you can add a cool snake skin belt or plain leather belt. Anyways, wear these clothes all together or mixed and matched, and you won’t go wrong!
