| Description: | Everything you need to know about finding the perfect scent that will keep the ladies coming back for more! |
Smelling sexy and seductive is a very important thing. There’s nothing worse than a stinky man, so listen up! There are so many great colognes out in the stores that you have no excuse for not sexying up your smell. That scent will eventually become your signature, so when a girl smells your smell she will only think of you, and that is a great thing!
There are a few key points to remember when shopping for your scent. Number one, you don’t want the smell to be so strong that it is a turn off, so go subtle and easy. Find one that fits you and can only be smelled when you are near. Don’t use too much of the scent when you do find it. When you put that spray on in the morning it will last the day, so don’t think “the more the better.” In practice, more is worse. Secondly, colognes are very personal and each scent will smell differently on each person, so don’t just buy your friend’s brand because it smells good on him. Make sure you try a few different scents and pick the right one or ones. You can buy more than one, which brings us to the last point: have different colognes for different occasions! For example, you will need at least two different scents: one for daytime and one for nighttime. It is always good to have a few choices because different occasions demand different auras. For example, you wouldn’t want to wear your everyday scent to a wedding. Women associate your scent with you, so make it subtle and good!
All these scents can be narrowed down to three distinct categories: the soft and seductive scent, the loud and proud scent, and the noticeably nice scent. When looking for your signature scent, you want to lean more towards the soft and seductive and noticeably nice scents. The loud and proud ones should be added later after you are established. This process of finding your signature scent may be quick and easy or long and difficult. Chanel “Allure Homme Edition Blanche” is a new scented update to the oldie but goodie, “Allure”. This smell is a great soft and seductive scent, which is distinctly recognizable and will be unforgettable to the ladies who smell it. The next scent I would suggest is Faconnable. This is another great French scent. Next I will move on to one of my personal favorites, Jean Paul Gaultier. This is a completely unforgettable sensual scent that gets even better each time around.
Now that you have all of these great options and recommendations in mind, the last part is knowing how to properly test these colognes on your skin. Testing the scents is not just about spraying, waiting one minute, and deciding whether you like it or not right away. When you get a sample of a smell, spray it on the test paper or yourself (yourself will be more accurate) and let it sit for at least fifteen minutes. So go to the counter, get a spray and then browse the men’s section for a bit. Leaving it on to let it soak in is the only way to tell what the true smell will be on your skin type. So be patient and find the right scent for you!
Cologne is an important part of your attire. It may not be an article of clothing but it is a key ingredient to completing your look because it completes the whole mood and feel that you are in. Follow these key suggestions and apply the correct way of finding a scent and you will be well on your way to smelling like a million bucks! ![]() About the author: Rochel Friedlander has spent her last five years working in men's fashion in New York City.
